Opus Plasma is the first-of-its-kind fractional plasma technology and represents a new chapter for energy-based devices, addressing a wide range of skin quality concerns often corrected with conventional fractional resurfacing lasers in the past.
- Opus Plasma utilizes radio-frequency energy which creates plasma at the tip of the device. The plasma, in turn, creates the fractional microthermal treatment zones.
- OpusPlasma can deliver plasma energy at multiple levels to customize a treatment for your specific skincare concerns, using a range of settings to safely and effectively resurface the skin
- Any area of the body can be treated with Opus Plasma, including the face, neck, hands, decollete, stomachs, etc.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME/DOES IT HURT
- Prior to the treatment we will apply a numbing cream to make you as comfortable as possible, but you may still feel a mild pressure sensation and heat during the treatment
- Most people tolerate the treatment well
- You may experience some redness, but you can go back to your usual activities immediately after the treatment
- Most patients will appear to have a sunburn look
- Mineral make-up may be applied after the first day
- Our aesthetician will discuss your aftercare at your initial consultation
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED
- Our patients are getting incredible results as soon as the first treatment, however for maximum results we are recommending 3-4 treatments
- The results of Opus Plasma Spark are permanent
- The natural aging process will still occur, so to maintain the best results, we recommend a maintenance treatment as often as every 6 months
WHAT SKIN CONDITIONS DOES OPUS TREAT?
- Fine Lines and wrinkles
- Skin laxity
- Uneven tone
- Unwanted pigmentation
- Stretch marks
- Acne scars
- Droopy eyelids
On the day of treatment, a numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area for 15 to 20 minutes. The Opus Plasma includes 2 treatment heads, one is a roller to treat large areas like the face, or focus, which is used for spot treatments like areas such as the eyelids. A large area like the face usually takes only 10 to 15 minutes to treat. The eyelids can be treated with the focus treatment head in less than 10 minutes
Immediately after the procedure there may be a slight burning sensation, much like a mild sunburn. Ice-packs may be applied, but oral pain medication is usually not necessary.
The Opus Plasma intensity can be adjusted to achieve desired ablation effect, which further expands the versatility of the technology. A light, moderate or aggressive resurfacing result can be achieved based on the desired outcome and patient skin type. All skin types can be treated with the Opus Plasma, unlike other fractional energy devices like the fractional CO2 laser.
“Opus Fractional plasma will change our whole concept of skin resurfacing. We can produce results equal to the most aggressive fractional CO2 laser with much less downtime and improved patient comfort. The results with Opus Plasma are impressive even after one treatment.
