Opus Plasma is the first-of-its-kind fractional plasma technology and represents a new chapter for energy-based devices, addressing a wide range of skin quality concerns often corrected with conventional fractional resurfacing lasers in the past.
On the day of treatment, a numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area for 15 to 20 minutes. The Opus Plasma includes 2 treatment heads, one is a roller to treat large areas like the face, or focus, which is used for spot treatments like areas such as the eyelids. A large area like the face usually takes only 10 to 15 minutes to treat. The eyelids can be treated with the focus treatment head in less than 10 minutes
Immediately after the procedure there may be a slight burning sensation, much like a mild sunburn. Ice-packs may be applied, but oral pain medication is usually not necessary.
The Opus Plasma intensity can be adjusted to achieve desired ablation effect, which further expands the versatility of the technology. A light, moderate or aggressive resurfacing result can be achieved based on the desired outcome and patient skin type. All skin types can be treated with the Opus Plasma, unlike other fractional energy devices like the fractional CO2 laser.
“Opus Fractional plasma will change our whole concept of skin resurfacing. We can produce results equal to the most aggressive fractional CO2 laser with much less downtime and improved patient comfort. The results with Opus Plasma are impressive even after one treatment.
