Cellulite

Cellulite is a pain in the butt, no question about it. Whether you are young or old, slim or full figured, athletic or sedentary, you can find yourself with stubborn uneven dimpling and denting of the buttocks as well as the thighs. Up to 90% of women have some form of cellulite.

QWO is a type of enzyme referred to as a collagenase that is injected directly into the dimple or crater to chemically “melt” the fibrous bands causing the dimple. Treatment of cellulite in the thighs is considered “off-label” and is performed at patient and doctor discretion.

Since QWO breaks up collagen, it also breaks up the collagen holding together small blood vessels in the skin. The result is there can be a significant amount of bruising with each treatment. Three rounds of treatment are required three to six weeks apart, so the bruising may be present for several months. On the bright side, the cellulite dimples will be gone forever.
