Vascular Lesions

Blood vessels can appear under the skin, and can become a cosmetic concern. Common vascular lesions include broken capillaries, port-wine stains, hemiangiomas, rosacea and cherry angiomas. These lesions do not tend to go away on without treatment, however they do respond well to laser and light-based treatment.

Light-based treatments with an IPL (intense pulsed light) handpiece can be used to treat small capillaries and rosacea with great results. Topical numbing medication or anesthesia is usually not required.

More prominent vascular lesion can be addressed with the 532 nm KTP laser attachment present at our Spa. Topical numbing medication is typically used and is well tolerated by patients.
